AV HISTORISK GRUNN

AV HISTORISK GRUNN is collaboration between Eivind Seljeseth, Kristin Ryg Helgebostad and Ingeleiv Berstad. It grew to be ongoing for five years and consisting of three different parts. Part 1 was presented in 2011 in a party tent outside Dansens Hus in Oslo during the CODA-festival. In part 2, the project traveled to (outside of) 15 different newly build houses for performing arts as a temporary, reflecting house. In part 3, this house moved indoors (back to Dansens Hus in Oslo) and turned inside out.

Project AGENDA

PART 3 - self-reflection

"PART 3, SELF REFLECTION is the third an final stage of the project. It contained a new performance, a photo exhibition and a seminar about the future cultural buildings i Norway. All presented at Dansens Hus, Oslo.

Whereas the other two parts of AHG was taking an outsider position (literally) related to cultural institutions, part three was going inside different institutions, looking for possibilities for expansions in a new context."

A publication about the project is in the making.

PART 2 - the long journey

"A performance about a potential Norwegian dance history and choreographic works that could have been created. Three young choreographers have interviewed some 20 other Norwegian choreographers with a bigger body of work, about projects once planned or thought of, which for some reason were left in the drawer. In "AV HISTORISK GRUNN" they investigate these potential works and form a separate independent performance."
