ANY MOMENT

Upcoming:

- A physical and metaphorical exploration of time, synchronization and collective singularity. Any Moment is a playful, poetic and cunning dance performance featuring nine dancers and five large stones. Through the dynamic movements of human bodies and the slow movement of heavy stones, the work is juxtaposing human- and geological time in an elegant and intriguing way, letting non-human entities take center stage,
- in a parallel reality before your very eyes!

With a living and precise dance material at the center, the performance moves between a type of order and a kind of chaos, between individual antics and sudden unity. As in an abstract, somatic magic show. The dancers are negotiating a meticulous choreographic system, finding freedoms and playfulness in a rigorous structure that holds an ever-evolving, cyclic composition.

- Any moment now, not now, but at any moment, something is going to take place,
everything will fall to pieces and pieces will fall into place.

How the world is made up of coexisting, subjective perceptions of reality is a consistent field of interest for choreographer Eivind Seljeseth. This interest is also central to the work with Any Moment. But where Seljesth's previous works have often been based on spatial, textual and conceptual formats, now bodily movement is at the centre, as the very heart of the work. The dancers Anton Skaaning Thomsen, Ian Ancheta, Ingrid Haakstad, Marie Ursin, Mathias Aas Stoltenberg, Oda Bjørholm, Orfee Schuijt, Putli Hellesen and Sebastian Biong all work in the free art field and are based in Oslo. Not only is this an impressively large group of dancers for a project outside of companies and institutions, but also a group with strong, varied and extensive artistic practices.
